Always Throw Complete Passes
Before the "hutt", hit the C-up button 5 times. This will make you throw a complete pass every time.
Attributes Trick
This trick is for creating your own players. after you put in the players name, weight, height etc. press "a" or "start" and it will take you to the attributes screen. If you look at the big green bar at the top of the screen it isnt always filled up all the way, therefore you have to cut back on some stuff but if you want it to be higher then all you have to do is press the "b" to take you back to the previous screen and then press "a" again to take you back to the attributes screen. The green bar will change. You can do this trick as many times as you want until you have the amount that you want.
Computer Help
Having trouble making those Field Goals? Getting off terrible Kick Offs? Making 20 yard Punts? If so, dont do them, let the computer do them for you. Now while this may seem obvious and basic to some, others might find this one of the most useful tricks in the game. When you go to either kick a field goal, a kick off, or punt, just switch your guy (C-Down) to not be the kicker. Then just press Z. The play will go on as usual, and you are practically assured a good kick!
Dont Change Players too Soon
If you are one of those people who pushes buttons repeatedly to win a game I give you this warning. If you are one of the defensive players at the line, dont press C-Down too much.
Sometimes it does help to get through the line and sack the quarterback. But if the quarterback passes well you are running after him pressing C down it will change to the cornerback guarding the intended reciever. By pushing C down too much and running downward towards the quarterback you will change players and the person you change into will start running away from the intended reciever.
Injured Men can Play
In Qb club you can get injured men to play. All you have to do is when a player gets injured right after that play go to sub players screen. Press the Reset All button and theyre back in. It will say that they are injured.
Please note: If you have substituted someone before the game, this code will not work.
Dont be Drawn Offsides
Having a problem with your friends drawing you offsides with the fake snap option? Dont be worried. All you have to do is press the B button when you hear a snap. If the snap was fake pressing B will bring up the audible screen. Wait a few seconds and it will go away. If the snap was real you will dive through the line leaving a hole for another player to get through.
Credits Glitch
I found this glitch upon looking at the "credits" option. If you notice, when you look at who developed the game, it has Brette Farve as the first person, of course because he endorsed the game. The thing is, it also shows the picture of the person, and so Brette Farves picture was there. But now, after creating my dream team for the Washington Redskins, I noticed that when I went back, it was Gus Frerottes picture in replace of Brettes. What? This is what happens. I guess the game is programed to look at the starting quarterback on the Packers when they show the picture in the development team staff credits. So basically, you can have anyone take the place of Brette Farve in the Staff credits, you just have to trade the person you want with Brette Farve. While this glitch is obviously useless, its still cool.
Message For Madden
Play a game in the New Orleans Saints stadium. Go to Instant Replay. Press Z to bring up Camera Mode. Now, press L to raise the camera, and you will see a secret message for John Madden on the right side of each endzone.
Speed Boost
To run faster press A for a boost. Then, instead of waiting for your meter to refill by itself, tap A repeatedly to hurry it along and allow yourself to fill up the boost meter quicker than normal. To get an even quicker speed boost push hurdle one step after you use turbo.
Give the Computer 1 Point
To give the computer 1 point, get the ball and get to between your own 5 and 10 yard lines. Now select to do a punt and change to the player right in front of the punter. Once you hike the ball hit the speed burst and go back and dive at the punter. You will be rewarded 6 points and the computer gets to do the extra point.
Will the real Mike Clark please stand up?
This isnt really a code, just something interesting. In the Free Agents Menu, sign some free agents. Then start a season and play with those players you signed. In week two, the players you signed should all be replaced with a kicker named Mike Clark. This doesnt work on all free agents.
Extra Interference Calls
Set all the penalties on high. Then pick any team. When your on offense, go to the Power-I formation. Then select the play Deep Curls. When you turn on the pass indicators, pass to the man marked by the A button. If you do this correctly, the refs will call Def. Pass Interference almost every time.
Always Win the Coin Toss
If you want to win the coin toss and receive the ball, all you have to do is wait until the coin is tossed and push start. When you do this your
team will start heading to the bottom of the screen and you will receive.
A Secret Play
This trick only works with John Elway. First you most go to Shotgun. Go
right. It will say Johns way. It is a combination of long and medium and
short passes.
Easy Running Game- Superhurdle
There is a way to have a great running game on QBC 98. It involves
pressing the C-Left (Hurdle) and A (Turbo) button. If you hit them at the
right time, your running back hurdles about 7-8 yards, to make a super
hurdle. Now, to execute a great running game, pick a pitchout play (Full
Left in the Double TE formation is a great play for this). Run the play and
go to the outside as soon as you can. You will be able to outrun defenders
very easily if you use this super hurdle. Most of the time, you will be
able to run all the way upfield for a TD. However, there is a problem with
this: your RB gets VERY fatigued VERY fast. So use it at your own risk!

Free Yards on the Kickoff
This is a glitch that I found quite helpful.It requires two people. Whenever
you are recieving a kick off get the ball and run it back to the end zone. Have the
second player go behind you and to the right or left of you. Then, lateral
the ball to him and have him miss it. Make sure the ball goes out the back
of the end zone. The computer will call it a foul on the other team and you
will start next on your 40 yard line. Neat!
