Level Select and Energy Gain
At opening credits press L, Up, X, Up, R, Y. If you do this correctly an extra green line will appear at the bottom of the screen and a warning screen will appear. Just ignore it. Now enter A + Y for level select and then enter B + X for energy gain. To use level select at the beginning of a level, just press SELECT.
