Cheat Menu for the Japanese Version
While on the main menu screen, quickly press L1, X, Left, Square, Square.
Play as Shadow
Highlight Dhalsim hold SELECT and hit any button.
Play as Evil Sakura
Highlight Hulk at the character selection screen, then hold SELECT and hit any button.
Play as Armored Spiderman
Highlight Spiderman at the character selection screen, then hold SELECT and hit any button.
Play as Mech Zangief
Highlight Blackheart on the character selection screen, then hold SELECT and hit any button.
Play as Mephisto
Highlight Omega Red at the character selection screen, then hold SELECT and hit any button.
Alternate Colors
Choose your character by pressing HK or HP.
Play as Grey Hulk
Enable the "Play as Evil Sakura" code and choose Hulk as her partner.
Bonus Options for the Japanese Version
Beat the game without losing any rounds. Then, additional selections will appear on the options menu, including increasing the speed to eight stars and always having full combo meters.
Play as U.S. Agent
Highlight Bison (Vega) at the character selection screen, then hold SELECT and hit any button.
Play as your Second Character
When playing the Battle Mode, defeat the enemy and your chracter starts to do a winning pose, press the R2 button and in the next game you will
fight as your second character.
Play as Apocalypse
Beat the game without using any continues. When you select your character:
1)Highlight Akuma
2)Press select 6 times, then press any punch or kick
Cheat Menu
At the main menu press R1, Circle, Left, Triangle, Triangle.
Hidden Extra Options Screen
At the main menu, highlight options and press R1, Circle, Left, Triangle, Triangle to access a hidden extra options screen.
Play as Apocalypse in the Japanese Version
After beating the game without losing any round, highlight NORIMARO and press Triangle, X, L1, R2 then hold Circle until the round starts.
Easy Way To Beat Cyber Akuma
To easly beat Cyber Akuma, First do the options cheat, to do this cheat
you must highlight options then quickly press R1,0, Left and triangle two
times. Set your Guage to full and recovery fast. Then fight your way
through the game until you reach Cyber Akuma. And to beat this guy you have
to crouch and block at the same time. Hell be attacking a lot and when he
teleports to you quickly do a tag-team move or a regular super move! Repeat
until hes dead.
Play as Cyber Akuma
To play as Cyber Akuma,you must beat the game WITHOUT LOSING A SINGLE
MATCH!!! At stage 8,if you defeat Cyber Akuma,you get to play as him.
At the title screen,choose BATTLE,VS,or TRAINING mode.At the
character-select screen,highlight Akuma and press SELECT 5x and press any
button.
How to choose colors
Using the L1,L2,R1 and R2 buttons you can choose between 4 different colors
of costumes
Play as Onslaught
To play as Onslaught, finish the game using any character ( if it wont
work, try using Wolverine ) on any difficulty and he will appear along with
Sentinel. He below Wolverine.
Play as Gold War Machine
To play as Gold War Machine, finish the game using War Machine and he will
appear below War Machine.
Play as Carnage
To play as Carnage, finish the game using Venom and he will appear above Chun-li.
Play as Roll
To play as Roll, finish the game using Megaman and he will appear on the
right of Megaman.
Play as Orange Hulk
To play as Orange Hulk, finish the game using Hulk and he will appear to
the right of Hulk.
Play as Shadow Lady
To play as Shadow Lady, finish the game useing Chun-li and she will appear
below Gambit.
Play as Lilith
Finish the game using morrigan and lilith will be
selectable in the middle bottom corner of the character selection screen.
Switch Players in Shortcut Mode
In Shortcut Mode after winning a match, hit the select button and then hit
down, left, medium punch. Do this as many times as you can before the next
screen appears and your partner will become the main fighter.
Hit the Dead and Defeated
When Playing in any game mode. After winning the match hit select, and you
will be able to move and hit your opponent that is on the ground. (note:
you must do this very quickly once you win.)
