This richly detailed game is also one of the most enigmatic on the market. Not only must you be an ace on the volleyball court, you have to be charming, good at casino games, and able to change allegiances (and clothes) at the drop of a hat. In addition, you have to read subtle expressions, remember what each lady holds most dear, and be able to afford a boatload of gifts to make you the most popular gal on the island. Sound complicated? It is. Luckily, we at IGN have created a guide that will help explain this excellent, addictive and often maddening title.

Force A Replay
Instead of watching a girl pose after a point or a miss, you can replay the winning point by holding L after the point is scored.


Unlock New Songs
Complete one vacation and you will unlock two new songs, available at the Radio Station: "How Crazy Are You" by Meja and "Is This Love" by Bob Marley.


Start With More Items
To begin with a ton of items, give a bunch of gifts to a specific lady. Then finish the current game and start a new one (with your old save) and play as the woman you gave gifts to. Whatever she keeps will be in her Item inventory when you begin a game with her.

Unlock Swimsuits For Exhibition
To have more swimsuit choices in Exhibition Mode, buy or acquire suits in the Zacks Island game. Whatever you gain in that game will be available for the Exhibition beach.

Survival Mode Clues
The last clue in the manual that hints at a link to DOA3 refers to the items you get from attacking downed opponents. In DOA3s Survival Mode, when you successfully attack a prone opponent, the items that pop out are the ones that the character you are playing likes in DOAXVB.

Example: Christie attacks a prone opponent and a small red race car pops out.
The clue is that Christie likes driving.

Example: Kasumi attacks a prone opponent and a strawberry millefuille pops out.
The clue is that Kasumi likes that food item.

NOTE: This is the "link to Survival mode" implied by Tecmo/Team Ninja - not the 10,000 x number of wins hint (which is a fake board rumor).

Skip to Ending
Once youve finished the game once, you will be able to skip to the end of the two weeks with any girl. Go to the Hotel or Poolside menu and select "Leave Tomorrow" to end the game after that night.

Ditch Rodman
To get rid of Rodmans voice, go to the Options menu and change Zacks voice to Japanese.

Camera Lock
To lock the camera moved with the left thumb stick, click it in the position you want to lock it in. To lock the camera moved with the right thumb stick, click it in the position you want to lock it in. To lock the zoom, zoom and then press x. Ive finally found what a lot of you are looking for - NUDITY
. You need a see-through visor and a few minutes to kill at the pool. Only some swimsuits fall under this glitch; some do not.

At the pool, let your girl lay on the chair until the menu goes away. Now move the camera so that youre looking at the girls body through the visor (the camera is at the girls head).

You should notice that the swimsuit (depending on the swimsuit) is not visible through the visor, but the girls skin is. An there are nice little stars covering the naughty bits.

Ive tried this with Christie, Hitomi, Lisa and Leifang wearing the Emu. I tried with other swimsuits and it works only with some suits and not others. Try with Tina wearing the Gimlet.

You can try it with the Venus, but it only makes the string vanish. Leaving the jewels held in place by will power. Enjoy!


Hint: Get Any Girl to Wear Any Suit
Start the game and pair up with Tina (or Lisa if youre playing as Tina). Begin buying "Like" and "Love" items for the girl that you want to accept the suit. Give this girl a "Like" item as a present at least twice a day and a "Love" item every other day. After a while, the girl will begin opening the presents in front of you and thanking you for them. Once "Zack Of All Trades" opens, constantly search for "Like"/"Love" items and buy them. Continue giving presents to only to the one girl until the 11th day.

On the Morning of the 11th day, give your girl a "Like" item. In the Afternoon, give her a "Love" item. In the Evening, give her another "Like" item. Return to the hotel and "Go to Bed". On the Morning (Afternoon if she isnt there) of the 12th day, give your girl a "Love" item. The next time you see her, give her the suit you want her to accept. She will accept it but shell, most likely, hate it and all music notes will disappear. In order for her to keep it, you must follow up with another "Love" item. After returning to the hotel, select "Leave Tomorrow" so that she doesnt have a chance to throw it away.
